INFORMATION FROM THE PARISH COUNCIL

Refuse Collection.

Normal refuse collection is on Fridays.
This will alter around Public Holidays. Notification of changes are posted on the village noticeboard prior to Public Holidays.

A refuse lorry no longer visits the village for bulky waste. Alternative arrangements are posted on the village noticeboard, including details of the two lorries (one accepts garden waste, the other household, DIY, bulky etc.) opposite Pritchett Close (on Fane Drive, just beyond the water tower) from 12:00 to 15:00 every Friday except some bank holidays.

Duties and obligations.

Many people may have read in the press about changes to the duties and obligations of members of Parish Councils. Rules have been imposed which place certain restrictions on what Parish Council members can and cannot do. This has sometimes raised concerns and confusion over how to interpret them. As a result some guidance has been issued, trying to clarify their meaning. You can now view here the New code of conduct for Town and Parish Councils, Frequently asked questions

(Parish Council / Dave Hewitt / Steve Cox, Webmaster ).
