Application P04/W0052

12 Ford Lane: Two storey side extension and single rear extension

The applicants explained that both extensions would replace existing extensions and that the footprint of the property would not be increased. All building work would be more in keeping with the period of the property, with particular regard to matching the patterned brickwork on the original property with reclaimed bricks where possible.

The council asked what percentage increase in volume from the original property this work represented. The applicants were unsure of the exact figure. The council were satisfied that this issue would be scrutinised more closely by SODC planners.

Mr D Wiblin spoke on behalf of the immediate neighbours and expressed his support for the application.

It was unanimously agreed by all councillors present that Drayton St Leonard Parish Council recommends to SODC that this application be approved.

4/P04

Application P04/W0042/LB

Waterside House: Internal alterations and refurbishments to a listed building

The applicants expressed their concern to care for a listed building and to preserve and restore all features of historical interest. They explained that an SODC planning development officer had been consulted from the outset.

The council asked if any of the partitions detailed to be removed were of historical value. The applicants replied that all partitions to be removed completely were from the second half of the twentieth century. Other partitions were being removed in order to expose original studwork from an earlier era.

No comments had been received from immediate neighbours.

It was unanimously agreed by all councillors present that Drayton St Leonard Parish Council recommends to SODC that this application be approved.
